Repaving Coon Rapids Boulevard
Anoka County is continuing with its plans to make the ride on Coon Rapids Boulevard a smoother one.  This summer, the county plans to repave about a one mile stretch of the road between Hanson Boulevard and East River Road.  Paving was done further to the west in recent years.  Many motorists have complained about the deteriorating condition of Coon Rapids Boulevard... which is a county road.

Pull Tab Parlor Closing
The Pull Tab Parlor run by the Coon Rapids National Little League will be closing its doors at the end of the month.  That's because groups can only have three gambling premises permits at one time and CRNLL was issued one last week to operate out of Rapids Bar and Grill.  They also hold permits at Willy's and The Well.

Harness Track Card Room Set to Open
Let the card games begin.  Starting at 9pm June 30th, the card room at the Running Aces Harness Park in Columbus will open.  By law, the harness park wasn't able to open the card room until it put in 50 days of racing, a milestone it will hit next Monday.  The card room includes 50 tables with popular games such as poker and blackjack.
