MEDIATION SERVICES ANNUAL FUNDRAISER APPROACHING
-September 7, 2010
The annual fundraiser for Mediation Services for Anoka County is quickly approaching.
Organizers say this year's "Casino Lite" event will be totally different and lots of fun. Mediation Services for Anoka County, which is in its 23rd year of existence, has seen its funding drop in recent years but demand for services increase.
Mediation Services for Anoka County Chairperson Lonni McCauley says, "This is the first time we've done this particular fundraiser and we don't really know how much to expect this year for a profit. We're hoping to have more than 100 people out"
Honorary Chair Steve Wells says, "I think it's important to note that mediation services really is efficient in their use of the dollars that you donate. They have a tremendous amount of volunteers that do the work."
The fundraiser will take place on Thursday, September 16th from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Seasons Restaurant. In addition to Hors d'oeuvres, desserts and coffee, there will be games and prizes including Twins tickets and a tandem sky dive. For tickets, call 763-422-8878.
