MANY CHANGES THIS FALL IN DISTRICT 11

-September 7, 2010

Students in District 11 head back to the classroom next week, and for many, the new school year means change.

More than 3,200 students will attend a new school due to the closure of eight schools. Several hundred others will go to a different school due to boundary changes. And hundreds of staff members have also been relocated.

Another change, both middle and high school students are now on a trimester schedule. And bus fees have been eliminated for students living between one and two miles of school.
