STATE CHAMPS!

Trophy.

Coon Rapids Baseball took home the biggest trophy. Coming into the tournament with the worst record of all of the other teams, but that did not phase them as they roll through the State Tournament. Congratulations to the Cardinals! This is the 1st team State Champion that CTN has witnessed since covering them in 1997. Catch all the exciting action on CTN channel 15.


	Cards Blank Huskies
	The Coon Rapids Cardinals get a win over Andover Huskies that happen at Sand Creek Park. Coon Rapids had a big second inning as they scored 5 runs. Cards go on to win 7-0 and they record is now 3-7.


	Cards Hold Off 'Nadoes
	It was a windy Monday at the Anoka Tornadoes softball diamond, but the Cardinals flew through the Tornadoes. Coon Rapids scored three runs in the second and held on to win 4-2 over their NWSC opponent.

	In the Finals!
	Coon Rapids Baseball is on a roll, beating Robbinsdale Cooper and then beating Blaine. They are going to the section final with no losses in the tournament. With Blaine beating Cooper, Coon Rapids faces Blaine in the Final. Blaine will have to win twice against the Cards to go to State.
