Talk of the Town is...

"Talk of the Town" debuted in January of 2002. It is a half-hour, monthly magazine program that helps viewers get in touch with the Coon Rapids and Anoka County community. Each month we meet interesting people, travel to unique places, and take you behind the scenes of various organizations. The stories we share often highlight portions of our community that you may not otherwise get to see. From special access inside the surgery suite of Mercy Hospital, to see the da Vinci Surgical Robot system in action, to an in-depth look at homelessness in our county, we take viewers on a unique and informational journey each month. In our specialty segments; Lifestyle, People, Closer Look and Just for Fun, we cover a wide variety of topics on our program.

Stephanie Ring

Stephanie Ring started her career in television in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. As the 10 P.M. Producer, she learned a lot about the news business. She later left the
newsroom and instead starting working freelance positions around the Twin Cities, both at broadcast stations and private video firms. In 1999, she discovered CTN Studios quite accidentally; just by flipping around the cable channels one day. She sent a resume, got hired, and now 10 years later continues to produce local programming. She works on both the CTN News and Talk of the Town programs, and works on special projects. Stephanie lives in the north metro with her husband, two daughters and dog Cajun. Outside of work, you can often find her shuttling kids to dance class and other activities, and volunteering at school. In her spare time (what little there is) she likes to go bike riding, work on home decorating or landscaping projects and read a good book.
