The City of Coon Rapids does NOT use general tax dollars to fund the activities of CTN Studios but instead, generates departmental funding through cable user fees.   These fees are found listed on your cable bill as a 5% franchise fee and a P.E.G. fee (Public, Education and Government).  These fees, combined with the revenue generated from our sponsorship program, provide the funding necessary to operate CTN Studios.
