COON RAPIDS, Minn. -- A Coon Rapids company is flying high after learning it will help make aerial refueling aircraft for the U-S Air Force.

Late last week, the U.S. Department of Defense awarded a $35 billion contract to Seattle-based Boeing, which has suppliers in more than 40 states including Minnesota.

Locally, workers at the Honeywell plant here in Coon Rapids will make the navigational system for the tanker. And that means more jobs. The contract calls for 179 aircraft with 18 of those ready for delivery in 2017.
